Would you consider remembering us in your will or donating to Citizens Advice Northumberland?

Citizens Advice Northumberland is a registered charity and our services are FREE. We rely on the support of people like you to ensure that we are ready with advice when we are needed. Right now, the demand for our services is greater than ever.

What would you do if…

  • The bailiffs were knocking on your door?
  • Or you were too ill to work and your benefits were cut?
  • Or you faced losing your home after redundancy led to mounting debts?

These are some of the things that have happened to our clients. With a local Citizens Advice office in the community, you (and your friends and family) have somewhere to turn – four in ten people have used Citizens Advice at some point in their lives.

Make a Donation

A donation of any amount, either on a regular monthly basis or a one of donation would be greatly appreciated – and if you ever need us, we hope to be here for you too.

  • Every £5 will help us to deal with a problem over the phone
  • Every £10 will help us advise someone face-to-face
  • Every £20 will help us buy a law book
  • Every £50 will help us run a training session for our volunteers

Citizens Advice Northumberland provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. It values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. The service aims to provide the advice people need for the problems they face, and to improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.

Leave a Gift

A gift in your Will is an investment in the future:

Our advice services are more in demand today than ever before, and as we move into the future that demand looks set to grow even further. Any gift, however small, will help to ensure that we are still here for your family and friends, and their children and grandchildren.

Your Will:

Every adult should have a Will, regardless of their age, income or wealth – it is the only way of ensuring your wishes are met after your death. Not making a Will can cause real administrative and legal complications for your loved ones at a very difficult time.

In making a Will, naturally your first priority has to be taking care of your family and loved ones.

If you don’t have a Will, having one written is a lot easier than you think.

If you already have a Will, changing it to include a gift to Citizens Advice Northumberland is very straightforward.

Your gift:

Citizens Advice Northumberland is a charity – that’s why we desperately need your support. As an independent charity, Citizens Advice Northumberland rely on the support of members of the public – people like you. Gifts left to charities in Wills – usually known as legacies – don’t need to be large. Every gift – however large or small – makes a difference. Even 1% (so your family inherits 99%) or a modest sum of money.

None of us can predict what problems our families and friends – and their children and grandchildren – may face in the future. They might have money difficulties, a relationship breakdown or ill health. They might have a disability, face an employment dispute or become a victim of discrimination. We are determined to make sure that whatever problems they face in the future, they don’t have to face them alone.

Leaving a gift to Citizens Advice Northumberland benefits you, your family and the whole community. You can help us to achieve that aim today.

How we will use your donation

Gifts left in wills help in many of ways:

  • We promise to use your gift wisely and prudently
  • If you want your gift used in a special way we will honour your wish

Our Leave a gift in your Will leaflet explains more about leaving a legacy to our service.

To continue our vital work we need your support. If the time is ever right for you to remember a charity in your Will, please remember Citizens Advice Northumberland.

Thankyou for considering leaving a gift to Citizens Advice Northumberland.
